El lanzamiento póstumo titulado Valleys of Neptune fue producido por la hermanastra del artista, Janie Hendrix, junto con John McDermott y Eddie Kramer y está compuesto por material inédito grabado en diversos estudios londinenses entre 1968 y 1970.

El disco incluye temas como Sunshine of Your Love de la banda británica Cream, así como versiones alternas de canciones interpretadas por The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Hear My Train A Comin', Ships Passing Through The Night y Lullaby For The Summer).

Según Janie Hendrix, este material permitirá un mejor acercamiento al talento de su hermanastro, no solo como guitarrista sino como innovador en el proceso de grabación.

Valleys of Neptune saldrá a la venta el 8 de marzo.
